About

Ruth Christina is a composer for Film and Concert Music, originally from Surabaya, Indonesia. Her experience with different musical styles throughout her life resulting in a unique compound sound, influenced by classical, jazz, and Indonesian traditional music.

Apart from being a composer, she’s also active as a pianist and leader. As the Music Director of Berklee Indonesian Ensemble during 2020-2021, she led the music department. Together with the team, Berklee Indonesian Ensemble has held multiple successful events, collaborated with the Indonesian government, and performed in United Nations Headquarters in New York.

During her study in Berklee College of Music, she won the Millican Award 2022 for her Piano Trio composition. She was mentored closely by Jazz Pianist and Composer Billy Childs, and Grammy Winning and Guggenheim Award Recipient, Dr. Richard Danielpour.

Her career experience included working in Bleeding Fingers on 2023, a company formed by Hans Zimmer and Sony.

As of now, Ruth currently resides in Indonesia, as she embarks on her career as an independent Film and Games Composer.
